The first and the obvious thing to do while in New York is to visit the Statue of Liberty! Situated on Liberty Island, the first ferry leaves from the mainland at 8.30 a.m. and the last ferry to leave the mainland is at 5 p.m. The last ferry to leave the island is at 7.45 p.m. Note that these timings are for weekends only. The trip and exploring the island might take you around 3 hours.
